I thought I would share some of Kailyn's favorite Civil War era living books that she has enjoyed the past few weeks. She is such a voracious reader that it is hard to keep her stocked with good, quality books but I try! These books are not part of our curriculum, but she reads them in her free time or for her "free reading time" each day.

She also read about Clara Barton who was an important person during this time and lots of Lincoln books. I feel maybe I was a little Confederate heavy in book offerings but I wanted her to read about both sides of the War. Do you have any recommendations for Civil War living books that your kids loved?
